At 2:55 a.m. Dec. 24, a resident heard a car door slam and then saw two “figures” running from his driveway down Walmsley Road, police said.

He then got into his car and drove down the road in an attempt to locate the two people, police said.

The man then observed two males walking on Walmsley Road and carrying boxes, police said.

Once they realized they were being watched, they both fled on foot onto Hollow Tree Ridge Road and the complainant then lost sight of them, police said.

One suspect was a 6-foot Hispanic man wearing a tan sweater and dark pants, police said. The other was described as a black male, "much shorter,” and wearing dark pants and a dark hoody, police said.

Officers canvassed the area as well as several surrounding neighborhoods but did not locate the suspects, police said.

The complainant was not sure what may have been taken from his vehicle. The investigation is ongoing.
